At Trinity Church we believe that our mission is to make more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28). In order to do this, we need to live intentionally. We need to seek Christ and reflect Him to a watching world.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by the number of people in this world who are living lives apart from Christ, so we are challenging one another to start small: Identify ONE person in your life who doesn't know Christ and pray for them.
At the same time, we are becoming more intentional as a church. We want to be ready to welcome and disciple those whom God brings our way and we want nothing to get in the way of them hearing the Good News that Jesus saves sinners.
As each of us reaches toward our one, we are making a space where they will love to come and where they will meet Jesus in a life-changing way.
We are rejoicing at the growth we have seen at Trinity in the last year, but we believe it is not enough to have a full church. There are so many others in our community who don't know Jesus!
As a church, we want to join together and get ready to welcome and faithfully disciple the people God brings here. To do this we are going to continue sharpening our connection and disciple-making ministries, and we are going to make key improvements to make our facility more functional and appealing. In order to do these improvements, we are embarking on a 3-year journey to raise $300,000 and starting to execute these plans in the Fall of 2016.
These improvements will focus on the following areas:
- Kids & Youth Space - Dedicating the lower level to ministries for the next generation not only gives us tools for teaching the kids who are here now, but it gives us a great place to invite and bring those who are not yet here.
- Nursery Relocation - Moving the nursery to the main level keeps the littlest ones close to their parents in the sanctuary, serves moms and dads who are juggling car seats, and frees up space in the lower level.
- South Entryway - Since the south entryway functions as our main entrance, it becomes the first impression our guests have. We want them to feel welcome from the moment they step in the door.
- Sanctuary - Improvements will allow us to make better use of our biggest gathering space, maximizing seating and flexibility for Sunday mornings and beyond.
