OUR VISION

At the heart of our vision is a desire for Gospel growth - we want God's Spirit to make us more Christ-like, and we want others to find life in Jesus.

Our mission statement reflects this desire: we are here to make more and stonger disciples of Jesus.

We believe that God has positioned us to make an eternal impact in our community as we become a contagious community shaped by the Gospel. We strive to become a community that is centered on the good news of Jesus - committed to teaching of the Bible and rejoicing in God's rescue in Jesus. It is Jesus who then unites us together so that we become a community - people who care about each other and live together well because of our common bond in Jesus. We pray that as God shapes us into a Gospel community, he will use our life together to point others to Jesus - that others will see Jesus and be drawn to him. In short, we are building community to reach the community. Together, we discover that God has called us to live as missionaries wherever he has placed us - in our workplaces, schools, homes, and neighborhoods. We want our lives to count and to point peple who care about each other and live together well because of our common bond in Jesus.

We want our lives to count and to point people to Jesus. This is called everyday Gospel mission - it reminds us that each of us who is a follower of Jesus is called to live with Gospel intentionality every day in all of life. If you want to see under the hood a bit more, check out the page that spells out the values that guide us as we make ministry decisions. See the small groups page for how we are building this vision into our ministry.

OUR VALUES

Our core values are the deep commitments we hold that shape our ministry decisions:

Gospel truth not human wisdom.

God reveals the Gospel through Scripture, so the Bible is authoritative over us. Because of this, we are committed to biblical teaching and expository preaching that proclaims the Gospel of God’s grace and consistently exposes legalism, license, and all false gods.

Outward not inward.

The Gospel is good news to be announced, so we aspire to reject passivity and boldly witness to God’s great work, taking intentional steps every day to actively proclaim the good news to those with whom we come into contact.

Spirit-empowered not human-powered.

The Gospel is from start to finish the story of God’s great work. Rather than relying on our own ingenuity, we prayerfully seek God’s direction, rely on God’s power, and trust in God’s providence.

Real relationships not superficiality.

We are sinners saved by God’s grace. That means that we are free to stop pretending to be perfect people so that we can become a deep, authentic community.

Impact not activity.

It is much easier to be busy than it is to be effective. We are committed to faithfully striving for growth, so we will shape our ministries intentionally for growth and guard against busyness.
